Awarded scholarships by the government of Finland and Norway and twice by the European Union (ACE and Copernicus Programs). Participated in various research on invitation by the Norwegian School of Economic and Business Administration in Bergen (1991), Turku School of Economics and Business Administration (1992), University College Cork (1993, 1994, 1995), Coventry Technical College (1993, 1994, 1998), University of Stirling (1995, 1996, 1997), University of Lisbon (1995, 1996, 1997, 1998), Amsterdam School of Business (1996, 1997, 1998), University of Hamburg (1998). Since 2000 he is the organizer and head of the program council of the annual International Financial Management Conference.
